Welcome
The Penns Grove/Carney's Point Library is a non-profit organization funded by fees, fund raising events, individual donations and donations from the Borough of Penns Grove, Carneys Point Township and Oldmans Township. The staff of the Penns Grove Carney's Point Library welcomes all of you to participate in the use of our library. We will gladly assist you with any requests or needs.
FROM THE NORTH
I295 South to Exit 4
Exit Toward Penns Grove (Route 48 West)
Continue straight through 2 traffic lights
Turn Left at 3rd traffic light (Broad Street)
Continue to RR tracks (about 4 1/2 blocks)
Library is first building on the right immediately after the railroad tracks

NJ Turnpike South to Exit 1
Exit highway to traffic light
Turn right onto Route 140 West
At traffic light(Dupont Chambers Works) turn right onto Route 130 North
Follow 130 North (approxiamately 2 1/2 miles)
Turn left at the "Y"(island) onto Maple Avenue("Entering Penns Grove" sign on right)
Cross over railroad tracks and take first right onto Broad Street
Library is second building on the left

Route 49 North (through Salem & Pennsville) to Route 130 North (Penns Grove)
(At traffic light at Dupont Chambers Work Route 49 North becomes Route 130 North)
Continue on Route 130 North (approxiametely 2 1/2 miles)
Turn left at the "Y"(island) onto Maple Avenue("Entering Penns Grove" sign on right)
Cross over railroad tracks and take first right onto Broad Street

Membership Qualifications
Residents of Penns Grove, Carney's Point, or Pedricktown.
Adult - $15.00 annually
College Age Student - $5.00 annually
Student - $3.00 annually
Minimum age - 4 years
Non-Residents
Adult - $20.00 annually
Student - $5.00 annually
Minimum age - 4 years
Please note:
All prospective members must complete an application card,
showing proof of name, address, and telephone number.
The name of a reference is also needed. No exceptions will be made.
Parents must be present for students in first through sixth
grade to apply for a membership card.
Students must indicate age, school, and grade.
Membership cards are renewed yearly. There will be a 30 grace period.
A fee of $1.00 will be charged to replace a lost card.

Rent by Adults Only.
Members who wish to use videos will be asked to pay a one time $5.00 video maintenance charge.
Please do not return videos in the book drop.
Please do not expose videos to extreme temperatures in your car.

Rules
Membership card must be presented to check out any Library Material.
Material lending period is 14 days.
Book Limits (Exception paperbacks)
Adults - 6
All address and phone changes should be reported promptly.
All items can be renewed unless they have been reserved by another member.
Large bills cannot be accepted for fines or other fees.
No supplies can be furnished to members, e.g. paper, pencils, staplers, etc.
Please do not attempt to repair library materials.

Videos $1.00/day, in advance
Late fee $2.00/day
Weekend rental - $1.50
Friday PM - Monday AM
50 cent charge if not rewound.
Designated Videos - Free 14 day rental - Limit 2
Fines for late books, cassettes, periodicals - 15 cents a day.
Fine - Adult item - Cost of item up to a maximum of $15.00.
Fine - Student item - Cost of item up to a maximum of $10.00.
Computer Use - Members $1.00/Hr or any portion thereof.
Non Members $2.00/Hr.
Lost books - Charge assessed according to replacement cost.
Damaged books - Charge assessed based on damage.
Notary Fees - Members $2.00.
Non Members $10.00.
Copies and Printouts - $0.15 per page
